| Abstract/Contents: | Recognizing the need to reduce the amounts of herbicides employed, several alternative methods for weed control are suggested, including mechanical control, the planting of weed resistant grasses and the use of mulches. In addition, the author recommends an alteration in the turf aesthetic that would allow for the presence of some undesireable grasses, as this would mean that still fewer herbicides need be applied. |
