Abstract/Contents:Profiles the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation and explains the "missions, interests and involvements of the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation." Discusses the goal of the bureau as a way "to enhance the outdoor recreation potential of all Americans." Addresses the concern regarding the lack of outdoor recreation facilities and programs in the Rocky Mountain region. Discusses other types of problems that are developing in suburban areas in comparison to urban areas. States that "if recreational sites are not functional, the public will neglect them, reject them, and abuse them." Discusses the use of cemetery grounds and how they have evolved over time.
