Abstract/Contents:Outlines the problems facing turfgrasses planted in soils which possess insufficiently beneficial chemical and physical properties, and the various organic and synthetic mediums available for improving these soils. States detailed analyses of the products Agrosil LR, Hygromull and Hygropor 73. Discusses the various strengths and weaknesses of organic, mineral and synthetic soil amendments. Three examples of these products having been used are given to illustrate the importance of a proper combination and application of these products. In addition, the positive effects of fertilizing with slow release synthetic organic fertilizers are summarized.
