Abstract/Contents:States that "throughout golf's history, divots have caused unsightly conditions and negatively influenced play, making divot repair and divot management programs an integral part of golf course management." Eight difference ratios of sand:compost:soil were tested to determine the best repair mix; six different ratios of seed to repair mix were also tested. Concludes by recommending a "80% sand:10% compost:10% soil divot repair mix combined in a ratio of 5% creeping bentgrass or Kentucky bluegrass seed to 95% repair mix. Cultivar did not seem to have much effect on divot recovery."
