Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to "determine product effectiveness when applied curatively to control a predominant northern masked chafer (NMC) white grub population on a turfgrass area maintained on a golf course driving range." Lists treatments evaluated in the study, including DPXE2Y45 and Dylox. Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "the turfgrass area consisted of perennial ryegrass (40%), fine fescue (40%), and Kentucky bluegrass (20%)...Three one ft2 [square foot] soil samples were removed from each replicate...and the total no. [number] of NMC and Japanese beetle (JB) grubs was recorded." Reports that "all treatments applied at both timing intervals provided significant suppression of NMC grubs, while very few JB grubs were present in the samples. Likewiswe when scarab grub species were combined for analysis, all treatments provided significant control." States that "no phytotoxicity was noted." |
