Abstract/Contents: | Addresses the inquiry of a greenkeeper on how to manage sea-washed turf grass on bowling greens if there is no overall color uniformity. Explains that sea-washed turf may contain creeping red fescue, Sea Poa, and creeping bentgrass and details their characteristics, indicating that if they are present "an unsightly patchwork appearance is inevitable." Concludes that "a uniform product is difficult to obtain and it is important, therefore, to purchase turf of known composition." |
