| Abstract/Contents: | "This experiment was conducted in 3 locations (parks) in Jasper, Covington and Lauderdale Counties in south Mississippi. Each location consisted of 3 replications. Each replication was 1,000 ft.2. Treatments were made on 8, 9, and 10 Aug in Jasper, Covington and Lauderdale Counties, respectively. Treatments were applied with a spray volume of 2 gal/1,000 ft.2. Imported fire ant kill density was determined by visual observation. Pretreatment counts were made on 8 Aug and post-treatment counts were made on 15, 22, and 28 Aug. The best control was provided by Triumph 4 E, Chlorpyrifos 4 E, Oftanol 2 E and Orthene 75 SP, respectively. No phytotoxicity was observed." |
