| Abstract/Contents: | "Field research conducted in the Midwest and eastern United States has shown that multiple Trimmit 2SC (paclobutrazol) treatments applied at very low rates result in plant growth regulator effects including biomass control, darkening of turf and a reduction in annual bluegrass populations. The objectives of this field study were as follows: 1) to determine if multiple treatments of Trimmit 2SC applied to young, overseeded perennial ryegrass in a stand of common bermudagrass would result in levels of annual bluegrass control similar to Prograss 1.5 EC (ethofumesate), 2) to determine if Trimmit 2SC would be safe on young, newly seeded perennial ryegrass, and common bermudagrass, and 3) to determine if Trimmit 2SC would potentially suppress or control annual bluegrass while darkening perennial ryegrass and improving overall surface quality." |
