| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a project conducted to "create a genetic linkage map of allotetraploid creeping bentgrass (Agrostis stolonifera L.) using genomic SSR [simple sequence repeat] markers (microsatellites) and subsequently identify DNA markers linked to dollar spot disease (caused by Sclerotinia homoeocarpa F.T. Bennett) resistance." States that "approximately 100 microsatellite markers have been identified and characterized in the mapping population from approximately 2,300 sequences tested." Reports that "phenotypic dollar spot data from the mapping populations indicate a range in disease resistance among the progeny." |
