Abstract/Contents:Discusses the growth patterns of warm season grasses at the Brisbane Turf Club Doomben racecourse. Discusses how the growth rates of grasses can create issues regarding thatch development, infiltration rates and disease incidence. Presents a study to investigate the use of growth regulators during the peak growing periods. Results include that no adverse effects were found, although discoloration of some of the turf had taken place. Concludes that "disease and pest infestation had remained stable."
