Abstract/Contents:Describes possible control methods for moss on golf courses. States that "the number one reason moss develops on a golf course is due to the height at which turf is mowed...[and] the presence of moss can also indicate unfavourable environmental conditions and improper turf maintenance." Suggests "[reducing] surface moisture by improving air circulation and exposure to light by removing adjacent underbush and even selectively removing trees." Breifly discusses the use of the dishwashing detergent Ultra Dawn to control moss. Concludes that "unless the soil and turf conditions that weakened the grass in the first place are corrected, moss will return."
