| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study "to determine if the pre-harvest core cultivation (aerification) of Kentucky bluegrass sod would a) significantly decrease the overall weight and strength of the product, and b) improve overall quality of the sod." Details the methods and materials used in the study. Reports "no significant differences at the loamy sand site. The sandy site, however, showed significant differences between the core cultivation treatments for shear vane and shear/clegg results, and significant differences between sod type shear/clegg results." |
