| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses a study conducted "to document the effect of soil organic matter content and quality on soil biological activity and turfgrass root development." Shows C-mineralization and net nitrogen mineralization. Results include that "turfgrass establishment was enhanced by high organic matter content in the rootzone mixture and compost amendment," but "the compost amendment also increased winter damages caused by Microdichium nivale the first year." |
