Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the effects of traffic on turfgrass, including wear, soil compaction, divoting, and soil displacement. Describes traffic simulation tests conducted during the growing seasons of 2002 and 2003 on cultivars and experimental selections of Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, and tall fescue. Concludes that "numerous Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, and tall fescue cultivars and selections showed good turfgrass performance when compared to other cultivars and selections...subjected to traffic in 2002 and 2003." |
