| Abstract/Contents: | "Creeping bentgrass is a major weed problem in home lawns, athletic fields, and golf course roughs. Unfortunately, herbicides that can selectively remove creeping bentgrass have yet to be identified and control only is achieved by physical removal or through the use of a non-selective herbicide (e.g., glyphosate). The objectives of this study were to: 1) evaluate the ability of mesotrione and triclopyr to selective remove creeping bentgrass from Kentucky bluegrass and 2) determine the rates and number of applications necessary to eradicate the weed." |
