Abstract/Contents: | Profiles the golf course at Homburg, near Frankfort-on-the-Main, Germany. Details the construction of the course and states that it is not "in any sense an easy [course]." Describes the hazards and provides statistics relating to the nine holes of the original course and also briefly mentions the construction of a new course in summer 1902. States that "the club has come to be the social centre of the Anglo-Saxon colony." Lists a few of "the men distinguished in English public life" including English royalty. Provides pictures of the course and concludes that "the little Homburg course, is calculated to elevate the self-respect of any devotee of the game, no matter how humble." |
