Abstract/Contents: | States that "the problem facing groundsmen today is that the seasons are changing there is in fact no set date when the grass will stop growing and the mowers can be sent into the workshop for their autumn maintenance." Describes late autumn and winter as the perfect time for weed control. Advises that "the overall strategy and approach should always be to break the weed cycle. Being reactive to weed activity can often cost more in the long run." Describes various products for weed control, including liquid, granular, and controlled droplet formulations. Profiles the new Weed-IT technology, "a computer controlled herbicide application system specifically designed for use on footpaths and other hard surfaces." |
