| Abstract/Contents: | "When using the geophysical canvassing-system it is possible to find out indirectly whether the lawns on sport facilities are in good-shape or not, but this system requires elaborate and extensive technical bases. However, with the support of three "pillars": the canvassing-system, the site-determination and the geological references, it is possible to bring together all the collected data. Measuring the apparent electrical conductivity offers a quick and effective possibility to gather data on certain physical and chemical functions of the soil. When processing the measured values obtained by GPS (global-positioning system) it is possible to reproduce them in form of computerized graphics with the geological informatin system. In the future, it could be possible to locate exactely the critical spots on the laws of the sport facilities, to find the reasons and to improve them partially if necessary." |
