Question: | "According to your report the top dressing for each of our Bowling Greens should be comprised of:- 1 ton screened loam soil, 1 1/2" sharp lime free sand, 5 cwt. fine peat. Will you please say if these materials should be mixed together before application or should they be applied separately?" |
Answer/Response: | "It is desirable to mix together the three ingredients before application is made. It is possible to apply the soil, sand and peat separately but we find in practice that they do not become mixed to the extent they should during the working in process." |
