Abstract/Contents: | Field-plot tests in the United Kingdom in 1983 indicated that drilling either carbofuran or phorate granules with the seed offered a means by which low rates of the insecticides could be used to enhance the establishment of Italian ryegrass ( Lolium multiflorum). However, phorate or terbufos granules drilled at a rate of 1.7 kg a.i./ha or higher appeared to be phytotoxic to seedlings, since yield enhancement was less than when phorate was used at 1.2 kg. |
