Abstract/Contents: | Discusses a green speed study conducted at Crystal Downs Country Club in Frankfort, Michigan, that "could plot measured green speeds against surveyed golfer perceptions of putting quality to arrive at a target range of green speeds appropriate for that course and its golfing clientele." Details methods and materials used in the study. Also discusses the use of Golf Course Information System (GCIS) to display results of green speed testing. States that "the individual data submitted by each user of GCIS is private and secure, but will be aggregated anonymously in order to identify trends and draw reasonable conclusions across a wide range of properties and geographic areas." |
