Question: | "We are sending samples of soya bean meal and powered soil in which soya beans have been growing. We would be interested to learn if these materials are suitable for treating weak parts on our fairways." |
Answer/Response: | "The samples have been analysed. We do not consider that they will be very useful. The soil is a silt which is very alkaline (pH 8.2) too much so to be used with safety. The soya bean meal is rather coarse and would take a long time before it became absorbed into the soil. We do not think it is of much use to you." |
