Question:"As you recommended we have obtained a supply of wetting agent and carried out a test with it on our putting green before treating the greens on the course as you advised. We have noted no special improvement after one week on the treated parts and we would be interested in your comments."
Answer/Response:"The application we advised will not result in any spectacular change on the treated area. The treatment has an indirect effect which will only become gradually apparent after more rain has fallen and as the wetting agent assists percolation of the moisture into the dry ground. Normally water applied to dry patches tends to run off and this is reduced following the application of a wetter."
