| Abstract/Contents: | Presents the 2005 data from a crabgrass control trial conducted at the Iowa State University Research Facility, the purpose of which was to "evaluate the efficacy of several preemergence herbicides for the control of crabgrass in Kentucky bluegrass turf." Details the materials and methods used in the trial and explains that "turf quality was evaluated weekly during the summer and no damage to the bluegrass was observed from any of the treatments." Reports that "data were analyzed using the Statistical Analysis System (SAS) and the Analysis of Variance procedure (ANOVA)" and "the only material to give 100% [crabgrass] control at August 2 was Dimension 0.21% at 0.5 lb ai/acre [active ingredient per acre]." |
