Abstract/Contents: | Profiles a fictitious organization called "The Mystic Order of Greenkeepers" (MOG) that was "founded to resist the tyrannical reign of the landed nobility in the Great Clubhouse palace." Also discusses the history and creation of MOG, stating that "MOG was founded on three basic principles," including "Ball-Hawking...a divine birthright of superintendents"; "MOG never would require dress codes, certification or attending conventions or participating in caste systems"; and "MOG believes that superintendents should be firmly established on top of the golf course management triad." Concludes that "MOG membership is open to any superintendent willing to sign MOG behind his name." |
