Question:"We wish to establish for educational purposes a grass sward which contains a wide range of grass and weed species and yet which is easily maintained."
Answer/Response:"We assume the sward is for the biology department of a school to be used for botanical studies. We suggest you turf a small area with typical meadow turf and this would give you a fairly wide range of both grasses and weed species. Alternatively, you could sow the area with a general seeds mixture and with seed cleanings obtained from one of the seed warehouses. Cleanings should give you a fairly wide weed population."
