Abstract/Contents: | States that "the U.S. Golf Association recognizes five factors that contribute to increased golf ball distance: clubhead composition and design; increased athleticism; balls with lower spin rates and improved aerodynamics; optimization in matching equipment to individual swings; and improved golf course agronomy." Discusses each of these five factors and concludes that in order "to curb golf ball distance and at the same time make the game more exciting, golf courses should be returned to their rugged and natural roots." |
