Abstract/Contents:Discusses pesticide bylaws that may have an affect on golf course management. States that "in Canada, approximately five per cent of the pesticides used are for non-agricultural purposes. Of the remaining five per cent, golf uses less than one percent." Suggests that "in the golf sector, anyone applying a pesticide is encouraged to be licensed to do so." Concludes that "your golf course will be faced with this scenario at some point in the future. Your efforts to provide information and generate interest and discussion among those with a vested interest - golfers - could be the most strategic action you will ever take."
