| Abstract/Contents: | "Various rates of labeled and experiment herbicides were applied to 24 to 30 inch fyizome johnsongrass [Sorghum halepense (L.) Pers.] in August, 1984 to determine effective rates of application. Sprays were applied at 26 gpa and contained a corp oil concentrate at 1 qu/A. One month later, 90 % or greater control was obtained with Assure at 0.062, 0.012, 0.18, and 0.25 lb/A, as well as 0.06 and 0.12 lb/A rates of HOE 00581. Verdict, PP005, and Fusilade gave from 65 to 88% control at rates of 0.18 to 0.25 lb/A. Poast, Selectone, and SC1084 were less effective." |
