Suggests several agronomic practices for autumn that "can help the turf survive winter and enter the spring looking and playing better," including mowing, fertilization, irrigation, and drainage. Also provides suggestions for turf establishment, core aeration, herbicides, plant growth regulators, and fungicides for use during autumn. Concludes that "using the best management practices [during autumn] can help avoid turf loss during the winter. Keep mowing until the grass stops growing, fertilize before and after the cold acclimation period, and help the grass cold acclimate by reducing irrigation early in the autumn." |
