| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted "to determine if AS [Aliette Signature] applied early in spring or tank-mized with other fungicides during the summer would improve the summer quality and visual appearance of a creeping bentgrass (Agrostis stolonifera) putting green." Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "turfgrass color and quality were recorded every two weeks from 24 April [2002] until June 12 [2002], and weekly thereafter." Reports that "AS alone...improved quality, but quality was not improved relative to untreated plots on 25 June and 10 July. The reduction in quality in AS alone-treated plots was attributed to injury from R. solani." Concludes that "this study demonstrated that a higher level of bentgrass quality can be maintained following spring green-up and throughout the summer with AS combined with other fungicides...There appeared to be little benefit from the two early spring AS applications." |
