Explains that "with help from his deputy head green keeper Martin Heggie and assistant Matthew Palmer, Phil begins annual renovations in October after the club's last major competetion of the season." States that "copious amounts of aeration are carried out by Phil, using a tractor-mounted slitter, to a depth of 200mm [millimeters] in one direction." Mentions that "turf comprises fescue and bent grass species, which offer drought tolerance as well as hardwearing qualities."
