Abstract/Contents: | Discusses how to build teeing grounds according to the United States Golf Association's (USGA) Rules of Golf. States that "a tee needs only to be a rectangular area two club lengths in depth, with the front and sides defined by the outside limits of the tee markers." Suggests that "tees should be uniformly level, have a solid grass cover underfoot, provide firm footing to reduce slipping, and point the way to the target area." Lists ten steps for creating a good tee, including determining the ultimate function of the tee, draining the tee internally, and installing adequate irrigation. |
