Abstract/Contents:Discusses the responsibilities of golf course superintendents. Suggests that a superintendent must have business management skills and familiarity with relevant laws and regulations in addition to the agronomic knowledge needed to manage grass. States that "on top of all this, the need to keep course owners and golfers happy while operating with a limited (and sometimes shrinking) budget is essential."
