Question: | "It is in my understanding that many thousands of acres of wheat fields were sprayed with sulphuric acid to kill the weeds. Is this method of weed control applicable to weeds in turf?" |
Source of Question: | Michigan |
Answer/Response: | "We have tested sulphuric acid for the control of weeds in turf, but our results have not been as promising as those obtained from the use of arsenic acid. In addition, sulphuric acid is a difficult material to handle unless one has proper equipment and experience." |
