Abstract/Contents: | Presents the results of a Ciba-Geigy survey of the use of fungicides on golf courses. Almost seven out of ten superintendents prefer to use preventative measures rather than curative on all three major diseases: Pythium, dollar spot and brown patch. Fungicide ratings show that Daconil accounted for the greatest number of total fungicide treatments in 1987, followed closely by Subdue, Chipco, Bayleton, Banol, Fore, Tersan/LSR and Banner. Briefly mentions average annual fungicide costs for golf courses. |
