Abstract/Contents: | Discusses turfgrass conditions in North Carolina in spring 2007. States that "spring [2007] has found many areas in the state with dry soil conditions...[and] past research has shown that soil moisture not only plays an important role in the survival of insect populations, but also affects the timing of development and outbreaks." Explains that "when soil conditions are dry, there is often a delay in egg laying, and a resulting delay in the optimal time to treat." Mentions the labeling of Meridian 25WG "for use on golf courses and other turf areas." States that "Meridian has shown excellent effectiveness against a wide range of white grubs." |
