Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the Department of Environmental Quality's (DEQ) Phosphorus Management Policy Advisory Committee, which is responsible for identifying "the major source categories of phosphorus loadings to Michigan's surface waters, and for each of these categories, to revise and compile the voluntary and regualtory management approaches that are being or could be used to control phosphorus." States that based on these findings, the Committee was to "help advance phosphorus management strategies protective of Michigan's surface waters, taking into consideration effectiveness, costs of implementation, feasibility, and the potential reductions associated with the various phosphorus control options." |
