| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses how golf courses can comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) "without significant redesign and expense", stating that "the answer is a detailed examination of current status and a programmatic evaluation and determination of alternatives" and that "the changes are more attitudinal than architectural." Explains that "increased accessibility, [the course] will experience greater facility utilization by a variety of disabled individuals...[which] will raise issues of slow play, turf damage, etc", adding that "staff training in diversity provides a customer service framework that not only minimizes disruption, but also reduces the potential for adverse litigation." |
