Abstract/Contents: | Suggests that minerals from the soil may be divided into three categories: "the non-essential, which, although they are absorbed by plants, are not considered to have a vital function"; "the essential and abundant"; and "critical, including nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and possibly sulphur." Discusses the potential impact of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium on plant growth. Also discusses fertilizer application rates and timing. |
