Abstract/Contents:"The experiment was conducted on an established bentgrass plot at the Turfgrass Research Center, NCSU, Raleigh, NC that had a previous history of dollar spot. Dollar spot was severe in 1986. The soil was 80% sand and 20% peat that had been amended to meet USGA specifications for golf greens. Treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block design with four replications and were applied twice with a carbon dioxide backpack sprayer. Bayleton 1G was spread with a hand held applicator. The first application was made on 2 Jul and the second on 12 Aug. Plots were 5 x 5 ft. The summer was hot and dry. The experiment was watered as needed. Percent disease was rated approximately every 2 weeks. Disease pressure from dollar spot was throughout the experiment. All fungicides gave acceptable control. No phytotoxicity was observed."
