Abstract/Contents:"Fungicides had been evaluated for spring leaf spot control in 1986 at the Valentine Turfgrass Research Center, University Park, PA, on Kentucky bluegrass maintained under home lawn/golf course fairway conditions. Fungicide applications had been made on Apr 18 and 30, and May 15 and 29, 86. Individual plots, 16 x 3 ft, were arranged in a randomized complete block design with 3 replications. Fungicides were applied a CO2-powered boom sprayer, T-jet 8004 nozzles, at 30 psi, in water equivalent to 2 gal per 1000 sq ft. On May 6, 87, residual treatment differences in leaf spot severity were noted in the 1986 test area. Disease severity was visually evaluated, and data obtained were subjected to analysis of variance and Waller-Duncan K-ratio t test. Data from May 6, 87 are presented. Marked enhancement of spring leaf spot in 1987 occurred in plots treated in 1986 with Spotless, L9924, and prochloraz."
