| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to determine possible methods of preventing European crane fly (EC) larvae on golf course roughs. List treatments evaluated in the study, including Arena 50WDG, Talstar 7.9ES, Allectus 9SC, Sevin 43SL, Provaunt 14.5SC, E2Y45 1.67SC, Safari 20SG, and Botanigard 11.3ES. Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "all treatments were applied in rough areas, consisting of perennial ryegrass and Kentucky bluegrass, selected from areas of the course thought to have experienced high adult oviposition pressure." Reports that "larval populations were significantly suppresed by five of the treatments, including Arena 50WDG"; "Talstar 7.9ES"; "Sevin 43SL"; and "Dylox 80WP." |
