Abstract/Contents:Presents a study conducted to compare the efficacy of E2Y45 to the efficacy of Dylox in treating white grubs late in the growing season. Detials methods and materials used in the study, stating that "the grass was cut to 2 inches prior to applications, and as needed thereafter. A heavy drizzle was falling at time of application, but all treatments were hand irrigated to 0.25 inch regardless of precipitation. there was approximately 0.25 inch of rain 24 h [hours] prior to applications, and approximately 0.4 inch of rain 24 h after applications." Lists treatment formulations used in the study, including DPX E2Y45 18.5% SC, Dylox 80WP, and an untreated check. Reports that "good AGB [asiatic garden beetle] and EC [European chafer] curative control required the high rate (0.44lb. [pound]) of E2Y45; JB [Japanese beetle] is more sensitive to E2Y45 and good late season control was obtained with the medium rate (0.22lb.). The high rate of E2Y45 showed excellent control of JB grubs....These data show that E2Y45 is an outstanding curative product, at least as good as Dylox at much lower rates."
