Abstract/Contents:Presents a study conducted to "maximise [maximize] turfgrass water use efficiency for warm-season turfgrasses grown under Australian conditions by decreasing the incidence and severity of soil water repellency." Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "the three-year study will utilse [utlize] turfgrass plots planted in 2005...and which consisted of 'old' turfgrass...and turfgrass established from new sod." Profiles four experiments conducted in the study. Concludes that "the benefits of the research to the turfgrass industry will include cost savings, improved turfgrass surfaces, better environmental management, and an improved public perception of turfgrass management."
