| Abstract/Contents: | "Fungicide treatments were evaluated on an experimental green at Purdue University. The turf received conventional golf course green care and was maintained at 0.2 in height. Treaments were applied to 3.3 ft. x 6.6 ft. plots arranged in a completely randomized design with three replications. Treatments were applied with a hand held CO2 pressurized sprayer at 22 psi with a 9504E Tee Jet nozzle at a rate of 2 gal/1000 sq. ft. All treatments were applied on 13 Jul. The percent plot area diseased was recorded on 11, 15, 22, 29 Jul and 5 Aug. Brown patch occurred through natural infection in the experimental area on 11 Jul. By 13 Jul, the disease was spread rather uniformily throughout the area and was severe. Disease severity continued to increase in the area until about 25 Jul when it started to decline. Chipco 26019 2F at 8 fl oz, Daconil 2787 4.17F at 9.0 oz, DPX H6573 at 1.5 fl oz, Rizolex 75DG at 1.0 and 4.0 oz and SAN 619 40WG at 0.3 oz treatments were all significantly better than the untreated control on 22 Jul. All other treaaments had significantly less disease by 29 Jul. No phytotoxicity symptoms were observed." |
