States that "one of the biggest measures [the council has] taken in [the] go green campaign is re-cycling 100 per cent of [the] green waste by taking it back to a depot for composting...Another highly successful council initiative is taking out some of the shrub beds and introducing pictorial meadows." Notes that "more than 75 grounds maintenance staff work for the parks services of Cardiff City Council, exclusive of park rangers...The council has its own nursery where it grows more than 600,000 bedding plants each year, which are used throughout the city to create eye-catching displays."
