Abstract/Contents:"Fungicides were applied curatively to a bentgrass nursery. Soil was a sandy loam with a pH of 6.4 and O.M. 3.5%. Fungicides were applied 14, 24 May and 4 Jun 1985 with a C)2 pressurized sprayer at 38 psi in 2.5 gal/1000 sq ft. Plots were 5 ft x 5 ft and were arranged as a randomized complete block with four replications. Percent plot area diseased was visually estimated on a 0-100% scale. Turf color was visually rated on 0-10 scale where 0=brown turf and 10= dark green conditions. Ten days following the first spray(i.e., 24 May) Actidione TGF, Prochloraz + Actidione TGF, F-4921 50W, BAYHWG 1608, and BAY KWG 0519 had provided acceptable levels of curative dollar spot control. By 4 Jun, nearlky all treatments exhibited effective dollar spot control, except Daconil 2787 3.0 fl oz and LESCO 63539. Spotrete + Caddy + CL 3336 + Fluff + Trugreen had encouraged injury from benzimidazole tolerant S. homoeocrapa. Similar results were observed on 13 Jun, except the residual efficacy of F-4921 50W 1.0 oz ( not applied 4 Jun) began to deteriorate. Dollar spot data collected 31 Jul (i.e., 57 days after last application) revealed that Prochloraz + Actidione TGF, BAY HWG 1608 and BAY KWG 0519 had provided an exceptional level of residual dollar spot control. BAY HWG 1608 and BAY KWG o519 also provided excellent, residual control of brown patch; whereas, Spotrete + Caddy + CL 3336 + Fluff + Trugreen and SDS 63539 6.0 fl oz also provided very good, residual brown patch control. Prochloraz + Actidione TGF gave turf a yellowish color; whereas BAY HWG 1608, Chipco 26019 and Daconil 2787 6.0 fl oz improved turf color when plots were rated on 13 Jun."
