Suggests that 2008 is a "revival period of great course design...By taking advantage of...technological advances and...theories about design, architects have created an exciting time for golf." Discusses water usage in golf course design, explaining that "ASGCA architechts also are designing...courses and remodeling existing ones using improved technology, including drought-resistant grass varieties, and computer-monitored irrigation and root-moisture monitoring systems." Also discusses the environment and the golf course, concluding that "it's ingrained in every ASGCA architect just how important it is to protect, enhance and preserve the environment in which [they] work and play." |
