Abstract/Contents:Discusses 12 Kentucky bluegrass evaluation trials that were "seeded in September from 2003 to 2006 at the Rutgers Horticultural Research Farm II in North Brunswick, [New Jersey] or the Rutgers Plant Biology and Pathology Research and Extension Farm at Adelphia, [New Jersey]." Details procedures and materials used in the study, stating that "entries in each test were sown by hand using a maximum of 0.53 ounces of seed per 3 x 5 foot plot (2.2 lb [pounds] per 1000 [square feet]). Each test was arranged in a randomized complete block design with three replications." Presents the results of the study, highlighting the evaluation factors: spring green-up, leaf spot resistance, establishment, worn turf quality, color, winter color, billbug resistance, and formation of seedheads.
